Applications for being a mentor or mentee for the 2025-2026 school year are now closed.

Applying to the PEER Mentoring Program.

Apply here!

The PEER Mentoring Program is specifically designed to help first-year Asian and Pacific-Islander (API) students to adjust at Penn.

We would like to emphasize that PEER is an inclusive space for students of different identities and ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds, including and definitely not limited to students who identify as South Asian, Southeast Asian, LGBTQIA+, First-Generation, Low-Income, and more.

As a mentee, you will be paired up with one of our mentors, and take part in the various events throughout the year! From bonding during fall and winter retreat and working with API community groups in the broader Philly community, to spicy ramen eating contests and PEERsgiving potluck, PEER is a family that offers love and support in all aspects of your life. We emphasize the values of community, understanding, and openness, and encourage our members to explore aspects of their Asian and Pacific-Islander identities.

If you are accepted as a mentee, you are also expected to commit to a 1.5 day in-person retreat. . We would like to emphasize that this retreat is a great experience to bond with your fellow mentees and mentors who will continue to be a significant and positive part of your Penn experience. It will be worth it. We promise!

The mentee application is comprised of two parts - a google form and an interview. The application really helps us learn more about you. The interview component is your chance to ask us questions and get to know us a bit too! Please reach out to board at penn.peer.board@gmail.com if you have any questions! Apply here!
