Apply to PEER!

Applications for being a mentor or mentee for the 2023-2024 school year has open. Please see below to apply!

Applying to the PEER Mentoring Program.

The PEER Mentoring Program is specifically designed to help first-year Asian and Pacific-Islander (API) students to adjust at Penn.

We would like to emphasize that PEER is an inclusive space for students of different identities and ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds, including and definitely not limited to students who identify as South Asian, Southeast Asian, LGBTQIA+, First-Generation, Low-Income, and more.

As a mentee, you will be paired up with one of our mentors, and take part in our social, leadership, alumni, and service driven events. PEER is a place that offers love and support in all aspects of your life. We emphasize the values of community, understanding, and openness, and encourage all of our participants to explore aspects of their Asian and Pacific-Islander identities.

If you are accepted as a mentee, you are also expected to commit to a 1.5 day in-person retreat on September 10th-11th.. We would like to emphasize that this retreat, which is carefully curated by the PEER board, is a great experience to meet mentees and fellow mentors who will continue to be a significant and positive part of your Penn experience. It will be worth it. We promise!

The mentee application is comprised of 2 parts - a form and an interview. The application can be accessed below, and it is really helpful for us getting to know you a bit. The interview will be taking place the week after application is due, and you will get a chance to ask us questions and get to know us a bit too! Applications will open on August 9th by 11:59 PM ET and will close on August 18th by 11:59 PM ET.

Please reach out to board at penn.peer.board@gmail.com if you are struggling to meet this deadline. Apply here!
